The 100 Project Challenge

After cleaning my stash room, I realized that I had over 100 projects in process (of some sort) and that I really should finish some things before I bought any more. It's more fun to do it together so Terry and I decided to do it together and Sue joined us. My original estimate was 4 years.

Dinky Dyes Blackwork Christmas ornament in Daydreams 7/1/07 (first day of the challenge) [Current rating 0 : Average] Dinky Dyes Blackwork Ornament in Bush Christmas - 7/8/07 [Current rating 0 : Average] Paw Printing's Golden Garland - I sent this out as my choice in the last ornament round robin I participated in. The specialty fibers are Fibers to Dye for instead of what the original used. Finished 7/15/07 [Current rating 0 : Average] Repair and restoration work on a piece I completed and framed in college. You can't see the drink DS#2 spilled on it but cleaning it destroyed parts that needed to be restored. I finished the restoration on 7/15/07. The rust marks were from the old tacks. I used stainless steel staples this time around, hopefully they won't rust. [Current rating 0 : Average] This is painted canvas finished 7/28/07. It's a 13" by 13" canvas. Liz Turner Diehl and Janet Perry helped with the stitch guides. The background is Teal Bijoux (wonderful fiber, definitely will be using it more often). The cranes are in Crystal Bay Waterlilies with the Shadows in Dinky Dyes Mint Ice Silk. The outline is done in Fiesta. The eyes are Splendor and the beaks are Elegance. [Current rating 0 : Average] Twisted Oaks Christmas Tree. This was Annette's choice in the 2005 JCS ornament exchange. I just didn't get around to finishing it back then. Instead of DMC, I used Fibers to Dye For - Miss Scarlett and Evil [Current rating 0 : Average] When I joined ANG I got this pattern as the project that month. I finished it in a weekend. The Watercolors and the lavendar canvas came free. The rest of the supplies were from my stash. [Current rating 0 : Average] This is the pillow that I made in order to enter project #7 in the Utah State Fair. It got a first place blue ribbon. [Current rating 0 : Average] Dinky Dyes Tiny Hearts - I think I got this from Jo at Vegas CATS, either that or it was Nashville CATS the year before. [Current rating 0 : Average] Another ANG mystery piece. I found the Ash Watercolor when I went to get the cranes from Jill Rensel. They just begged to be done on a black canvas. Now back to my already started pieces. [Current rating 0 : Average] This is #10 in the Shepherd's Bush Be-Attitudes series. It was a gift from my friend Cat during our last "play date." As project 11 it starts the 2nd 10th of the 100 project challenge. [Current rating 0 : Average] This Minkee Baby Quilt is for my baby sister. It's the same pattern as the one I made for the sister next younger to this one when she had her first child. Finished 10/7/07 [Current rating 0 : Average] Queens Heart from Just Nan started and finished November 2007 [Current rating 0 : Average] Home Sweet Home from Pine Mountain Designs. I just needed a quick start and finish to begin the new year. It was started and finished the weekend of 1/21/08. [Current rating 0 : Average] This is a pink Minkee baby quilt top. It's not a quilt yet and I'm not sure when it will be turned into a quilt or what will happen to it. It may stay a finished top for some time. [Current rating 0 : Average] Victoria's Sampler Peace ornament [Current rating 0 : Average] Crescendo Quilt Top - Pieced by hand based on Tumbling blocks pattern. [Current rating 0 : Average] Crescendo - Quilted and with the binding. Finished 8/30/08 [Current rating 0 : Average] Ash Mystery Pillow - I finished Ash Mystery last year (It's number 10 on this page). This finish is making it into a pillow. 8/30/08 [Current rating 0 : Average] Pink Baby Blanket - made of leftover flannel and pink Minkee. Finished 8/31/08 [Current rating 0 : Average] T's ornament for 2008, 3 more to come. This is an original design, the pattern will be available from the maker of Kiwi Illusions and Melanie, who hand dyes the fiber. Or, the picture is clear enough that you could just copy it from here if you were desperate enough. [Current rating 0 : Average] A band on a TWRR - from Peacock Tapestry. [Current rating 0 : Average] Mardi Gras - a quilt made from blocks purchased on eBay in the colors of New Orleans. Finished 10/5/08 [Current rating 0 : Average] A crazy quilt block made from a handful of crumbs (pieces too small for use in a regular quilt.) Finish 10/5/08 [Current rating 0 : Average] This ornament was made for my sister E - It's purple and gold. The same pattern is finish 22, 28 and 34. [Current rating 0 : Average] Part of the finishing frenzy. The 2005 ornament K didn't get. Completed January 18, 2009. I like this tassel better.
